*Where* the raw computing power is (i.e. cloud or Head Office), is not really the issue for Virgin, its too many separate systems and the problems of connecting making them all work cohesively whilst adapting to todays requirements.
Sorry for the number of buzzwords there.... not quite Saturday yet...

It was more about the bolt-on IT systems that VS has accumulated over the years, the curiosity of VS buying tech which will become dated quickly, and moving away from the bleeding edge tech which doesn't always work the way it's meant to compared to tried and tested systems.
