Cold caller on behalf of VA

Hi,

Has anyone else received a cold call recently from a company call Forensic Fieldwork purportedly on behalf of VA? Apparently I can earn £75 just by going along to some event and talking about flying with VA. Always make sure I tick the usual opt out boxes whenever filling anything in. Maybe it's nothing to do with VA?

Thanks

Flying club occasionally shares info with their marketing third parties... I have never had Forensic Fieldword before but similar marketing companies looking for feedback.

Feel free to ignore, compensation promised rarely appears 8D

I have completed these focus groups for BA and Virgin. And I did get money! :-)

I'd be very p****d off if the Flying Club shared my details, I get enough cold calling on the phone despite having registered with the TPS!

You need to make sure that you Flying Club communication preferences are set correctly.

The bit that says:

Other Virgin Companies and carefully selected partners may also like to get in touch by post, phone and electronic mail about products and services which they think will interest you. By giving us your details we have the OK to share your information with them and the OK for them to contact you. If you'd prefer we don't share your information with them (for this purpose), please tick here.

needs to be ticked if you don't want FC to pass your details on.

if you respond to a VS onboard survey or an online one, i think both have a checkbox to opt-in to possibly being contacted for more detailed surveying

i'd assume that this might be such a follow up

it's a standard practice to take a sample of respondents to bulk surveys and go into more detail with them, either individually or in a focus group/similar event, the ff people are probably just contracted by VS to do the work

An external research agency for Virgin trains contacted me in December, I decided to give it a go because of the £250 cash they promised.
They came to my house and asked me a few questions, then met me at Euston before my journey, filmed me for an interview, and gave me the cash!! I'd go with it martymcfly and see what happens ;)

Thanks for the replies.

Checked my FC settings and all looks ok. I have occasionally been 'selected' to fill in surveys whilst on-board so maybe it came from that. Will see if they try again...
