Hi, I've just booked flights for August to LAX but seat map is unavailable online. Will I need to wait until 60 days before my departure date to select my seats?

You will be able to access the new seat selection system from 1st April I believe. But it's all rather complicated so I may be wrong. If you look at the FAQ on the VS website there's actually now an excel spreadsheet you can download that will work out for you when you'll be able to access seat selection.

It depends on what cabin you're travelling in, and on your Flying Club status (if any).

If you're flying Upper Class or Premium Economy, or you're Flying Club Gold and in Economy, you'll be able to request seats free of charge from April 1st.

If, however, you're NOT Flying Club Gold and you're in Economy, you'll have to wait until June 1st AND pay £25 to request a seat.
