My finger is poised.....I'm re-freshing just incase seatmap opens early.....How sad am I? ha ha.

I've been watching my seat-map closely for days now just incase it opens before scheduled T-60, as I want the best seats I can for our Florida trip in May...Only 45mins to go until T-60 :)

I'll update later....

I'm on 60 days and 23hrs? I'm guessing it has to get to 60days and no hours for the seatmap to open for T-60?

Yes it should be T-59 hours and 59 mins.

You might be able to select seats at 7am tomorrow.
Usually it is 8am (midnight in California where the VS computer lives) but as the US clocks changed last week 7am should be a good time to check. ;)

Thanks CHill710. I'm up at 6.30am for work, so I'll log on then to check, then again at 8am when I get to office.

What seats are you aiming for?

I was like you and it appears seat plans opened a few hours early when I didn't have access to t'internet. I hope that the bubble has just been blocked out until OLCI as they were all blanked out when I went to do it.

I ended up going for the 2 seaters on the 744 down the back. What is the view like of the wing from there? Just the wingtip? I like seeing the flaps moving, but though it would be nicer just to have 2 seats together as it's just me and the OH.

I selected my seat for my flight in may on sunday and the seat map was showing from about 6:00am but it wouldn't save the selection until 7:00am. :)

I eventually got my seats picked this morning at 7am this morning at T-60 and 3hrs...Yippee!!!

Ive requested 19A/C downstairs (VS27 to Orlando), these seats have been recommended for ease of leaving the airplane etc.

Coming home (T-60) next week) I'm going to try to get 24A/C in the bubble, fingers crossed.

Haha It was me, I was ready like a panther stalking its prey at 6.45am!! My husband thinks I'm mad - he wont when he's at the front of the immigration queue!! hopefully....

I wasn't sure whether I had requested them correctly but if they are showing unavailable @ "DaddyRob81", then I must have been ok!! :) :) :)

Well if you're on VS027 on Sunday the 18th, then yes, those seats show as allocated. oo)

It's ok, you can have the good seats going on Holiday, I'll be returning home from a nearly 3 week jaunt around Europe. Enjoy your time in Orlando! :D

I'm on the Virgin Flight on May 19th.... which leaves at 11:25
My countdown at the moment is saying T-61 Days - 10 Mins.. (Its 10:14am)

Am wondering, I should be able to pick my seats tomorrow, but as flight time is late morning, then in theory, its prolly not gonna show/save seat map until 10:25am ?
Or in some cases, does it become available at 8am (or 7am) regardless ?

Stuart if I was you, just keep checking. Our flight is at 11.15am on the 18th May, and seatmap opened this morning at 7am, which was actually T60 + 3hrs. I've been like someone possessed the last 24hrs checking every couple of hours....but it paid off I got the cherished 19A/C that I wanted.

Is it usual for bubble seats to be held back until OLCI?

When I looked at my seat map this morning - it had just opened, there were bubble seats showing available, however not all of them were... I'm guessing that some are held back and some available. now all have gone.....
I was also led to believe that more seats are shown available to people that booked with Virgin holidays (not sure if correct or not?)

That used to be the case, but i don't think they do it now - It used to be the front few rows in the bubble before the refurb in PE (which we got twice) but when i tried for them again, they were't shown as available - there were only 2 seats in the bubble when it opened for 28th April on VS27 :-(

Gonna be up for 7 tomorrow to see what i can get for the return on 19th may :-)

What's the view of the wing like from back there, Stuart?

I'm really hoping the bubble opens at OLCI rather than them all have been taken within a minute of seat plan opening up.

In all fairness, I cant remember ever looking at the wing/engine! I had the window seat, only ever recall looking down! haha !! :D :D
What I liked about our seats (61A & C) is there is a big gap between seat and window, handy for putting your stuf down the side, and kind of leg space if you can move your legs over!

We like it, as its the couples seat, close to the loos, but not in a spot where you get peeps hanging around by you....
Ok, downside is your last to get off the plane, but not really an issue.....

Turns out I didn't need to wake up early, about 85% of the seats are still showing available on our Vegas Flight (Mondays quieter maybe??????). We could have done the bubble (economy), but not keen on sitting next to a stranger for 11 hours (well, unless she was nice! :D :D :D , although that would get me in trouble with the wife! :D )

We had those seats at the back when we flew with BA last year to NY, they are great seats - i agree with being handy for putting your stuff down the side, gap between seat and window no problems for me, and we also didn't have any problems with peeps using toilets...

On the way home does OLCI open at 24hrs at your current locations time? Our flight home is at 9.30pm US time, so will it also open at 9.30pm the evening before US time?

Was lucky - Seat map opened at 7am (midnight Pacific time) and bagged 18&19AC on VS28 on 19th May

Only 6 PE seats available on the seat map when it opened.(22,23,24H&K)

Just hoping that 20H&K are released for OLCI and not held back for the airport checkin for VS27 on 28th April as i really like those seats.
