Greetings from the Virgin Australia Lounge - Sydney

VS Gold Card got me in (and Mrs Lobbers and Master Lobbers - although not sure two guests are officially allowed).

Large, bright, modern lounge with plenty of seating - low tables, high tops, bar stools, etc

Great array of breakfast items - fruit, bread, muffins, ham, cheese, cereals, pancakes, and Vegemite!

A proper barista making coffees and doing a roaring trade.

Bar not open until 11am

Easy access to the wireless and absolutely loads of charging stations/laptop areas

Views of the planes at the gates and runways

Groan Alchemist toiletries (for those who like their organic hand creams) - same as in the excellent amenity kits which also have pens!

Yes, they have two, plus a grill/panini press maker thingy.

Overall, I've been very impressed with Virgin Australia so far - clean planes, great crew, no questions asked about priority status for check-in, lounge, boarding, etc. LAX to SYD in PE was one of the best night flights that I've taken. The 777 config with seemingly more legroom than VS PE does make a difference in my opinion.

No lounge at Ayers Rock airport, but did get to check in first. You can't have everything in this world. ;-)
