Best seat for couples upper VS026 day flight

Hi,

Sorry if this seems to have been answered but having read a couple of posts, I couldn't quite get my head around it!
We just upgraded from premium to upper for this flight on an Airbus 330-300. The layout has changed since I last did the trip. So I am bring to figure out what the best seats for a couple are. We will not need to sleep. Looking at the seat plan, it looked as though 5G & 5K were the best as looking at the plan from the link below, they seemed almost opposite each other (I notice the staggering gets greater at different points).

Is this true? I have also read that seats in the same row adjacent to each other are better, but it looked as though there was a big divider between them, so you couldn't see them, is this true or is the divider retractable?

At the moment I can close from anything bar row A

Any help greatly appreciated!
Thanks

Welcome to vflyer
The UC cabin on an A333 isn't the most popular on here to say the least .
Rows D and G in the middle are not great mainly because the seats are a bit smaller in bed mode and a bit narrower I think ( istbc)
Stick to K side if As are not available about half way up 4/5 ish and you should be fine ,you can see over the divider ok but it can't be lowered

That's what I assumed when I booked my seats ,I have gone for 3a 4a tomorrow , sometimes a big divide between me and the mrs is a godsend but don't tell her I said so :D :D

Hi thanks for this,
The thing about them being smaller, is that just the bed (we won't be using the beds with is being a day flight) or the actual seat? From the pics on here it looked like you couldn't see over at all when sitting down - did you mean you can see over when standing up?

BTW I made an error, I meant it was just A1 (and now K1) that are unavailable, all the rest are there.

Thanks

8&9a are popular choices, especially daytime as proximity to the bar isn't an issue. There's a bit more privacy as nobody opposite and they feel a bit wider. No window in row 9 though if that's an issue

Another vote for adjacent rather than opposite, and A or K rather than the seats in the centre.

Even with the "enhanced" ottoman it is still possible to dine together...

If your sitting upright someone of an average height can easily see over , if you recline and lay back you can't .
The seat is about 6 inches shorter but shouldn't make a difference to you if your just sitting down .

Thanks everyone. Looks like side by side seems to be the winner here. Just one last question, has anyone sat in seat 5 k, if so could you see the person's face in 5g without bending forward or could you just see their feet?

Depends on how your (and their) seat is configured. If you're sat completely upright you can see as much as they wish to display. If you have the seat in bed mode, you'll see very little.
