Booking Virgin America flights with UK address

Hi,

We managed to bag two G's to LAX and we are busy planning things to do. We fancy flying up to Seattle then driving back down the west coast.
We are just trying to book somes flights (LAX to SEA) on the Virgin America website. I keep getting stuck on the billing address bit. It does ask for a postal/zip code (mandatory field), but does not accept an UK one. It asks for numbers only.
Has anyone any experience of this?.
Is there a way around this or do I have to bok through a third party?.
Thanks in advance.

When you select the country as the UK, give the site a minute to catch up and eventually it should let you enter a postcode in UK format, although from memory you have to eliminate the spaces.

I had this problem with Virgin America - and indeed nearly every other US airline website - as we don't have post codes in Ireland. I got round it by inputting 00000. It works nearly every time. The only exception is Alaska Airlines which allows me to put in my county.
