Quick question, is it possible to book LHR-JFK-BOS-LHR and upgrade to UC?

It should be. Give them a call is possibly the best way to do this.

Yes I have booked an M economy upgraded by miles to UC for my trip LHR-SFO. MIA-LHR. I checked availability online for G's then rang vs to book it up

I know it's not the answer to the question asked, but I only found out last week that it's not possible to get one way reward flights on Partner airlines, with the exception of Virgin Australia. (It is of course possible on Virgin Atlantic)
Well, that's not strictly true - you CAN have a one way, just that they'' charge you the points value for the return - Ouch!
Note that this makes it impossible (at a reasonable points value) to go round the world...

You can book open jaw on the web site but it is not easy to find the links.
You need to select 'more options' where you can put a different departure airport to the arrival one.
