How Do I Use Points and Money?

I'm looking to book a flight using my Flying Club Points (I have a free economy flight), but I'm also looking to pay for an addition ticket. So, one 'free' flight, one paid flight. How do I book these tickets together? It seems the options are only for "All Points" or "All Cash". The "Points and Money" option doesn't seem to do it either.

Hi and welcome.
Online, you cannot do two different types of tickets, you will have to give Virgin a call to do this. They will however ticket it as two separate tickets because that is who the system works, but they will link the tickets together.
Just to clarify, the 'free' economy flight, you will still have to pay the relevant taxes/surcharges that are a large part of the standard fee, so you might not see that much difference between the 'free' flight and the standard fare flight.
I think most on here would say that using miles for a straight economy miles flight is not really a good use of miles.

You can do this online by doing 2 separate transactions/bookings. Probably easier by calling Flying Club. You will get 2 different PNRs.

I find the value to be very good for the economy ticket. The price is $1500, but only $450 with my points, which saves me over $1k.
