LAX Airport hotels

Afternoon all,

I have managed to grab a G to LAX in January and will be flying out to YLW (Kelowna BC) the following day.

Any recommendations for a good Airport Hotel, I don't really want to have to travel too far as I'll have a lot of luggage with me as I'm on a nine week Snowboarding trip.

Many thanks as always.

Dominic

To be honest they are all pretty similar. If you have status at any of the main chains or can earn miles etc then go for that, otherwise go for whichever is slightly cheaper.

They all run free shuttles between the airport and their hotels and are all within a mile or so of the airport.

I stayed at the Renaissance last month. It was free as I had a certificate so can't complain too much. It was a tad in need of refurbishment but the free shuttle came quickly both times. A Burger King opposite was quite handy ;)

I always stay at the Sheraton which is very close (but still quiet) and of a high standard. Excellent dining options, reasonable price - shuttle takes 5 minutes or less from VS arrivals terminal. Great points scheme - what more can I say.

Thanks,

I have to say I like the look of the Renaissance so will probably opt for that.

I have no status with any of the Hotel chains and won't be earning any miles directly however i usually book through Hotels.com via Shops away so will get some miles that way and also gain another night on my Welcome Rewards account.

Many thanks
Dominic.

Try the Custom Hotel, we stayed there last summer en route to Hawaii. They have an airport shuttle, a nice bar/pool area and its close to restaurants/cafes. Rather quirky rooms, but spacious and clean.
