Flying Delta in PE on VS Metal. CH access????

Hi all,
Quick question for the experts in the T's&C's.
My company has made a bit of a boo-boo. I asked for my normal VS flights to Boston. For some reason they have booked a Delta flight, flying on the same aircraft as the VS 11. I wasn't sure at first but its booked in PE and Delta, to my knowledge do not offer PE on their own metal.
Not sure if this is the same as flying on VS metal and access to the LHR CH with my AU Card.
Any ideas??
Thanks

As far as I know this will be the same flight. DL and VS are now code sharing transatlantic flights so you should be on a VS flight and so will be able to use the clubhouse.

Thanks Chill,
It does look like the same flight. I was just nervous about it being a DL flight number. Don't want to arrive at the CH and get turned away (shudders with the thought!!)

That is interesting because DL don't offer PE and therefore do not quote prices. They usually will only sell you a Y or UC ticket (even though the VS plane has a PE section).

Don't Delta offer a Y+ that they consider equivalent? (Even though it isn't)

Well it gets even stranger. Delta seem now be offering PE on VS shared routes. I can now see the reason why my company went for the DL offering. Delta were offering W bucket fares whereas VS were only offering S bucket fares. The outcome of this was VS were £1800 and DL £1100. Seems a bit silly of VS but a seat filled is a seat filled I guess. Have doubled checked the confirmation and the DL flight comes back as

Flight DELTA AIR LINES DL4378 (operated by VIRGIN ATLANTIC AIRWAYS)
DEPARTURE London Heathrow (LHR - Terminal 3) ARRIVAL Boston Logan (BOS - Terminal E)
17:10 - 23/04/2014 19:40 - 23/04/2014

Booking status Confirmed Flight Duration 07:30 (non-stop)
Equipment Airbus Industrie A330-300 Meal available Not specified
Seat Not specified
Frequent flyer card VS009xxxxxxxx
Class Premium Economy (W)
Free baggage allowance for adult traveler Not specified

That is really interesting and good to know.
If it is a DL ticket can you still use miles to upgrade. I had an idea that you could only buy a mileage ticket - not upgrade. I would love to be wrong.

Unfortunately I doubt you're in what VS would call W fare class in PE, you'll more likely be S or K, W is a tag that seems to be applied to codeshare flight reservations such as yours irrespective of whether it's W / S / K.

Totally agree with that. I am hoping that it is actually an "S" bucket fare then I still have a little flexibility. I will soon know tomorrow. I just hope its not one of those dreaded "IT" fares. That way I have to make a change to my booking somewhere, it seems anywhere, then it suddenly becomes a normal fare ):
What is also interesting is that I can see the change fee is only £100, less than the normal £200 on a VS "S" bucket
