It appears that I'm flying the a330 (website guidance only) to Dubai in July. Not flow in the new Upper dream suites yet... And I have read a lot of reviews... Where would people recommend I plop myself down for the flight?

Come to think of it... Only ever flown upper in the a360. ... Might need to do a rewards trip on the lgw stock as well at some point

Oh bad luck!

You definitely want a window seat (A/K) - avoid the middle D/G seats as they're said to be slightly shorter.

One row - 9 I think? - doesn't have windows so may be worth a miss; otherwise they're all much of a muchness. Many V-Flyers seem to go for front to mid-cabin, eg rows 3-6.

as above window every time

towards the front to avoid the bar traffic, i prefer k with the controls and armrest on the righthand side, though it does put you on the sunny side of the plane coming back

I'm not sure there is a 'good' seat but there are seats to be avoided more than others. As peeps have said, windows are better than centre, and row 9 A and K have no windows and lots of bar noise.

As above.

A and K are five inches longer than the centre seats. We prefer 6 and 7 A.

5K always my favourite.... Some so and so swiped it on my next return so hitting 7K... v(

Personally 4K - 8K are my target.... if those not available, swap over to further back in A so not facing anyone but do not get too close to bar.

Noise has never been an issue to me just get legs knocked a little more often when laying down with passing traffic.

I tend to prefer 1A when most people despise it ...
Especially on a day flight, it's nice to be served first ;)

Any reason for 5K? My MIA flight in 2 weeks is way open at the moment in UC so want to get the best one going!

Why is 1A so dreaded? I was hoping to book - just bagged 3 upgrades from PE to UC today and not sure where to sit us all.

A bit close to the galley, so can be noisy during service.

Ok, thank you - T-60 today - really unsure how to book 3 of us - thinking maybe 2&3K and one in the middle? Any suggestions please?

Ok - I've selected 2&3K and 2G - it's a day flight out of LGW - any thoughts from the regulars out ther please?

I would swap 2G for 4K if available. The seats across the aisle don't align so conversation can be challenging and there's quite a lot of traffic with the galley being at the front.

It's also said that the centre suites are shorter, but on a day flight that shouldn't matter so much.
