Email today advertising No 1 Traveller is opening a lounge at Edinburgh. This will make up for the lamentable service air experience.
Open in May. Book now for a free glass of bubbles!

Good news!

Agreed, the Servisair lounge is pretty lamentable - especially at the moment during its renovations, half of it's just a roped off area of the main departure lounge!

The artists impressions of the new Aspire lounge look promising though, and presumably it'll be bigger as it's taking over the space previously occupied by Wetherspoons.

Looks like the lounge situation at EDI will significantly improve from next month :)

Thought it might have went into the old BA lounge. Wonder who will get that space.?

I eagerly await your results. I was at the Service air lounge yesterday. I thought all the work and the new lounge opening in May was the Service air lounge.

New service air lounge (now an Aspire Lounge) opens in May.

I've had a wander around the departure lounge and I couldn't see an obvious location for no1 - There is however a lot of work underway in the departure zone...

No 1 states the following...
A glass of champagne is included with all bookings made in April*
Complimentary fast-track access through security
Complimentary items from our self-service pantry table
A freshly-prepared dish from the kitchen
Fully tended bar
A La Carte menu available†
Free, unlimited WiFi
Newspapers & glossy magazines
Private Club room
TVs
Flight information available

Essentially, we now have a lot of choice flying from Edinburgh - main departure area is also not too bad either.

It's going where the old BA Galleries lounge was since they have now moved to the former bmi lounge :)
