Question regarding OLCI

I know all seats are not availeble to request at T-60 etc, but will they all be available for OLCI?

If previously unavailable seats DO become available, is it possible to select those ones at OLCI, or do you have to stay with your original choices?

For instance on a LGW1 config plane on VS27, if i originally requested 18AC in PE at T-60, could I then select 20HK in the bubble instead at OLCI. (I assume I wouldn't be able to select seats that had already been requested by someone else)

I only ask, as last time i was on VS27, it was when the 744's were being refurbed, so requesting seats was not available, only OLCI at T-24.

Also, do I assume that OLCI opens at T-24 on the dot, and not at 8am UK time like the T-60. (ie VS27 opens at 11:15 the previous day)

Thanks

Steve

Not sure about opening up of all seats, but if others are available at the time of OLCI there's no issue about you changing from your original seat request.

Yes, seats that were previously unavailable should open up at OLCI (with the exception of some exit row, extra legroom and bulkhead seats).

In fact it's worth checking 2 or 3 days before OLCI opens, as sometimes seats that were blocked off for use by Virgin Holidays are released then if they're not required.

As pjh says, you do not have to stick with your original choices - if something better comes up at OLCI, go for it.

And yes, OLCI opens at T-24 on the dot, in fact from my experience it often doesn't work until T-23:59!

Many thanks for that.
I'm actually booked through virgin holidays - hopefully be able to get 20HK - front of the bubble!

:0 you might want to reconsider that choice.
20HK is the first row of PE but right by the toilets. You might gain a bit of leg room but will definitely have people standing next to you waiting to use the loos.

I know that - they are the seats we have had the past twice we have been to MCO - like the legroom :-)
The toilet thing has never been an issue.

I'm crossing my fingers that the bubble opens up at OLCI on our return from JFK. I will be in the lobby of the hotel on the free wifi at T-24! We are currently in 62HK at the back, and although I know these are good seats, I've never been in the bubble before.

It may or may not - if it's a quiet flight I don't think they always use the Y section upstairs, to allow the crew to give UC their undivided attention.

I know. Currently our flight is showing 7 seats left unselected, so I don't know if it will meet demand yet.
