Good morning from the Galleries lounge

Would much rather be over in T3 at the Clubhouse. It's packed in here and barely any free seats.

Hopefully the Bloody Mary I've just made will improve my grumpiness!

No better over here! Just wrote a thread on it. Must be a busy day all round. I'll join you in that Bloody Mary. Cheers!

In the Galleries it's the way of the world...

Unless I'm on a short haul flight, T5B is the better lounge to be in I find.

Well, that flight certainly reinforced why I've not flown BA long haul in years and will not be doing again any time soon. BA does indeed in my opinion stand for bugger all

The lovely touch was being told if I was going to drink that much water I should of bought it in the terminal.

Wonder how much a VS one way ticket is as not looking forward to the flight home on Friday

That is appalling. Who said that? Cabin crew or lounge staff?
I hope you said something back? Like "Pardon?" and "May I take your name?". That tends to focus people's minds on to what they have said!

The Clubhouse offers a First Class product for a Business Class ticket (which is what UC is, business), so it can not be expected in other airlines business lounges. Even BA Galleries is better than most. There are few lounges worldwide to rival the Clubhouse at LHR, that is well acknowledged.

Regardless, rudeness to a customer asking for water is completely unacceptable.

That is what the crew member on board said to me after I asked for more water having finished the first glass I was given.

Or to fly to not serve water

I was thinking of trying BA again on my next flight. I have renewed my Au again and have 8 months left. My attempts at getting UNIQ over the past two years have failed so was going to see if I can get Gold on both. After this little water tale I guess I will be staying put!!

As it was Cabin Crew, who should most certainly know better, I would write to complain (and I rarely do that).

I just got back today after flying the BA491 from GIB and my colleague who was in the back of the bus commented on the crews reluctance to offer any more refreshment refills of water after the initial round of drinks. Reduction by stealth maybe but defo recommend an email to BA customer services to halt this noncense!

Thanks

I'm definitely complaining when I get back. The two male cabin crew were lovely and even offered another drink without me asking. The two female crew however were somewhat lacking shall we say and the water incident was the worst example.

God forbid the return flight Friday to the UK :(!

That is bad. I flew BA WTP to EWR last week and back from JFK. My crew on the way out were very good. Double drinks with each order without asking with frequent water/juice runs. I was quite surprised. No lounge access as I haven't built up status, but T5 is a very busy terminal. The way back was not as good, but still a few drink runs. I didn't have a high expectation, but enjoyed the flights. Last Virgin flight this week, then it's BA full time apart from finding a way to spend 500K miles

Well the return last night was vastly different and drinks including water offered by all crew members. Will I fly BA long haul again? Not if I can help it
