I guess if they keep upping the economy fares, and with points sale and fees lowered, some people might actually go for an economy redemption...

If my PE upgrade things had lasted more than a year, I might have been tempted by two PE's to JFK for 48K miles and 500 quid.

oooh was hoping for a bit more choice than that in EC so I could use my PE vouchers... oh well will have to do antoher trip instead ;)

It looks as though the taxes/fees/SURCHARGE is only being reduced for reward flights though, unless they haven't updated their revenue pricing yet. For example, the link quotes £241 for JFK in economy, but a random flight search of mine had these fees totalling £363.91

Oh bugger...looked at the reward sale and ended up booking an upper class G return to Tokyo :0 ...how did that happen?? ^) :D

The fees on reward flights were reduced quite some time ago
