How to check which reg will operate my flight ?

Hi everyone

Just wondering, is there anyway at all in which I could check which exact aircraft will operate my flight VS95 from LHR to YVR on 3 Aug?? Even if I could only find out like a day before or even a few hours, I would just really like to be able to find out as I would like to know if I will get VSUN , the bird with AVOD.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Click on the toolbar button on the top menu, then which aircraft and follow the instructions. It will give you the previous 3 months for each flight, out and inbound. Nearer your flight dates it will help predict which craft it might be, but not necessarily exactly which one.

Cheers :)

Also in the toolbox section is the Statis Updates tool. This will tell you the exact a/c reg that will be operating your flight about 3 or 4 hours before.

This is the soonest you will actually know as they don't realise it in advance for security reasons.

If you have the inclination you can try and work out a pattern of which inbound a/c usually operates the flight you are ok so you migh be able to predict the night before but things do get swapped around so it will never be 100% certain.

Even with the Status Update tool,as Neil says, things can change if a plane goes tech or the incoming aircraft is seriously delayed and there is another aircraft to substitute.

If I had been the first to answer this post, my reply would have been "By looking out of the window" :w

lol HL thats a good one
when i had an iphone i used the the VS app and got quite good at predicting the plane that would be on my route.but things can change as has been said. i understand your frustration about the IFE on the 343 so all i can suggest is be prepared. if you have a tablet or ipad then load it up with things to watch.
