LAX flights - Delta swap - PE booking downgraded!

Posting this so that others are aware and can contact VS now to find out whether they're in the same position (and also because ranting seems quite therapeutic
)
Just got off the phone with VS to be told that my 2 x PE reward bookings to LAX on 1/11 (made in January) aren't available following the transfer of VS23 to DL from 26/10.
Agent didn't know what I was on about for ages (in fairness, Manage My Booking still claims I'm on VS23 despite the fact that it's been replaced by the DL flight if you try to book it) but eventually went to speak to a supervisor. After some time on hold (and having offered profuse apologies and sympathy) said that I was basically either looking at a downgrade or flying up to 5 days later (dates aren't flexible).
Despite availability in PE on the other daily LAX flight, there's none in the reward fare class, apparently. He said that the supervisor claimed they'd given 'plenty of notice' despite it being me who'd phoned them up to tell them about the situation!
As an AU member for 2 years who has had several happy flights with VS without a single cause for complaint, am beyond miffed that a) VS didn't pro-actively contact me to alert me, b) when I did call them, they seemed totally unprepared for the situation, and c) that they don't appear to have anything like a suitable solution in place.
After agreeing that I was completely in the right, the agent arranged for a supervisor to call me back, which I'm waiting for now... not hopeful though!
