Curiously happy that at 1.5 hours before the allotted time I got my seat request in for our flight to St Lucia. UC Cabin is wide open except for, rather curiously (IMO), 1G, one of the centre seats. I'll check back during the day to see if there is a race to place seat requests.

Curses! There was I thinking I was special

Bassinet position, maybe?

I may be wrong but I think 1G may be designated a crew rest seat as the A330s don't have a dedicated crew rest area.

Assigned seats for the return this morning. 8 hours later, it's still only us and the phantom in 1G. All other seats available.
I also won a bet with myself, that at T-48 for the outbound all seats still available for assignment, save for ours, another pair taken by the bar and the phantom in 1G...

Yep, that blocked seat is a bassinet position seat as if you look at the seat maps on the VS website
here bassinet positions are shown.
