Miles booster - 1000 miles bonus

Hello, long time lurker but I've finally signed up :D

I've been looking at the Miles Booster for a while, and given the current promotion of the extra 20%, and my recent trip and upcoming trips with VS, I am a little tempted.

I have read though that there's usually a 1000 miles bonus when purchasing miles through the booster, but I can't for the life of me track this down on the VS website. Any chance anyone could point me in the right direction please? Thank you!

I've only recently started to fly more frequently with work (in economy sadly), so quite new in the FC world! It looks like silver is within reach by October 8D

If you log in to Flying Club and go to buy/transfer miles, it says the miles booster bonus at the moment is 20% extra miles if purchased between 21st May and 23rd June inc.

Thanks Penny. What I was struggling to find was any reference to the 1000 miles bonus - does that still exist? ?|

Hi and welcome,
Just one point to remember you will not get the 1,000 extra miles when there is a promotion on like the 20% extra bonus, they won't give you both. Its a slightly cheaper way to get some extra miles, lets hope we can all find some elusive reward seats. ii) Linda

I have 2 Little Red return trips coming up shortly, and wanted to take advantage of the Miles Booster to effectively purchase miles at 0.60p a mile (with the 1000 bonus). So I waited until the 20% bonus has run out (yesterday, though this morning the VS website still showed the 20% bonus offer... surprise surprise), to take advantage of this (as 20% is less attractive in this case), but still couldn't find the 1000 miles bonus which I thought was standard.

I then asked on online chat, and was told that the 1000 bonus for Miles Booster has now been stopped since April :( She said to look out for offers in the future, but I really hope that it's not gone for good!

Thought I'd report back anyway, in case anyone else was wondering the same thing.

I did a mile boost recently on an upcoming little red.
I didn't see any bonus offer.
I'll go and re check my account and update this post.

There's nothing on my account yet.
I assume they only get added when I actually take the flight.
But I paid £30 to double boost on flight to Edinburgh and I'm sure it said 3000 miles.

Dickydotcom, if you boosted in May (I can't remember when in May the offer started) or June, there should be a 20% bonus. Perhaps it takes a while to be credited to your account?

Actually I recall there being a "deadline" by which VS will credit the 20% bonus. The offer ended on 23 June, by when I googled "virgin miles booster bonus 2014", the top result was a link to the VS website (of course), with the narrative to the effect of the bonus miles will be credited to your account no later than 4 July 2014. I'm not sure if it includes the Little Red service, as when you click through to the page, it has been updated and the 20% bonus references removed.

Just checked our accounts and the 20% bonus miles for our flight in October have been added on the 5th June, never had that happen before.
