Flying Club Upgrade help

Hi, I'm thinking of using my flying club miles to upgrade my family to premium economy for when we next go to orlando. I believe you can only do this in certain grades of economy.
We usually go in sept/oct time and last year we paid £560 each for economy seats in the sale. Has anyone upgraded one way like I intend to?
For example if we purchased the return leg in economy, how much would I be looking at per seat for the non cheapest economy seat that can be upgraded (I believe it is an m fare)
Hope this makes sense.

Hi and welcome.
Yes, many will have done like you have, and just upgraded one way. You will need to buy an M fare for the leg you want to upgrade, and then just the cheapest fare for the other leg.
As for price, it would be best to give Virgin a call, it is really difficult for anyone to accurately quote you as you will have to pay extra surcharges etc on the PE upgrade.
The most important thing, is to make sure there are PE miles seats available, it would be pointless booking an upgradable fare code, and then there being no miles seats to upgrade to. Just because there are PE revenue seats available, doesn't automatically mean there are available to 'buy' with miles.

For two I recently paid £1550 which included the extra tax and fuel charge upgrading to PE.
At the end of last year I paid a similar amount getting the cheapest PE seats.
So it's definitely worth checking which is the best option to go for.
IMHO miles are much better spent going from PE to UC but MCO is not awash with UC reward seats. At the moment I'm UC out PE home for my next trip but I live in hope.
