Hello from the JFK Clubhouse

So here I am after a very good Delta experience from MCO.......for things to go slightly down-hill with a poor check in experience (taking over 20mins to check me in without a single apology....)

Yes I do like the UC check in zone but it takes some finding and I had to be directed a couple of times...might just be me. But the usual VS sparkle was not on show today sadly.

The CH is getting busy and my first glass of champagne has arrived, so things are getting back to normal y)

Hope that Jon sees this in time but if not.... hello all from the beacon of chrome that is the JFK CH.

A few fun anecdotes to pop into a TR already, but as a sneak peak... They've hidden check-in, an Indian businessman told lounge staff his economy ticketed children needed to be sat with him and his wife in business class and the TSA were courteous, polite and efficient - I'd say the last one is the more noteworthy.

Well glass of whiskey number 1 appears to have finished itself and they do like to fill the glasses for me here. Fond memories of my banter and singing with a server or two when drunk no doubt :P

Continuing my series on odd tapas from the JFK kitchens... How do radishes with parsley salt sound? Bizarre isn't it. I'm convinced that they read my posts and see what I focus on for comment now... Tin foil hats on, quickly before they hear our thoughts on the crispy chickpeas with paprika salt :P

I'll be on the vs46 this evening, although sadly I have missed out on my favourite seat opting instead for 23D…. probably the best of the bunch available downstairs and there is no way in hell you will be getting me upstairs on a night flight in UC.

Whiskey number 1 appears to have replaced itself and whiskey number 2 is being pleasantly enjoyed. Cheddar toast and Duck Wrap ordered to start with…. I shall see if I can do a full sample of the menu again, save those radishes of course.

Sound trails V-Flyers 8D

Ha. Changed cities mate, long story. There were literally 5 seats available for selection when I came to it.... With 1a ruled out (upstairs) my choices were d or g columns. 23 was the least objectionable in my eyes. Closer to the bar after all. 8D

All I can think of is the time I finished off the last bottle of Tanqueray 10 found on a flight to SFO just after VS had removed it from their UC flights! :o)
