Hi all. Still can't seem to get our PNR locator number to book our seats in PE on the 21st may 2015 coming back June 6th 2015, we booked this trip through virgin holidays after calling them various times without no luck, very confused I know it all changes from 24 th June regards paying to select your seat but sitting in PE We don't pay the charge, I rang virgin atlantic direct today and they said locator number won't be available until after the 6th July next month, this still doesn't seem correct to me as they say 11 months till departure we could allocate our seats, which I thought would be 21st June this year?
I know PE is full having done a dummy booking through virgin holidays, were a family of 5 and want to sit together having paid a lot extra to upgrade. Rows 19 A TO F would be perfect but getting nervous to make this happen. Any help would be great.

Go to manage your flights on the VS site, fill in the required details, your name and VH booking reference, and you will get:

Sorry, we were unable to retrieve your booking. Please check the details you gave us below and let us know the flight number and departure date of the flight and try again.

Fill in the required extra info (date and flight number) click on retrieve booking and bingo. On the first page you get to you will find your VS PNR in the top right corner. From then use that to avoid having to submit information twice each time.

Thanks tried that flight only show up to December on the page it sends you to.

Apologies, wretched procedural changes cock things up yet again.

I think it also useful to point out that the VS Booking system only works 11 months out, so you will have to wait a few more weeks beofre VS will recognise you

Op I would try Twitter or Facebook to see if you can get any further.

I would imagine VS are correct, with it being a package booking through VH, it will be 11 months from your return date when they are able to ticket the booking on their system, so it will therefore by the 6th July when you should be able to get your VS PNR reference.

Neil is spot on, it's 11 months from your return date, so that they have a complete booking outbound and return. THEN they will have a locator allocated to your booking.

Do you mean through Virgin Holidays or Virgin Atlantic? If the former, lack of availability may just mean that VH's allocation is currently used up.

Having booked less than 11 months out, I got my PNR locator explicitly pointed out on my booking.

Looked through VH's there's are all gone so don't know how many VA GIVE THEM.

You now seem to have two threads running discussing the same subject, please try and keep all discussions regarding you PNR number to this thread.

As it has been pointed out, you won't get it until the 11th months from your return flight. The VS system only books this far in advance so there is no way for it to be able to create a booking or you to view any information before then.

New system is delayed.

I hear that it been delayed, hopefully virgin will have it up and running soon?

They gave nearly 3 months' notice of the June 25th date - nothing to say they will again but if they do we're looking at September at the earliest.

Wow September, that's a long delay, I'll keep a eye out every day incase things happen sooner
