Virgin App on iPhone

Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone is aware if Virgin will release a new improved iPhone app? the current one I think is terrible compared to the one I use for BA.
Not sure if I am missing something on the app but when logged in, I cannot seem to find a way to automatically load my flight itinerary's into my calendar. I don't fancy tapping them all in one by one.
Also does anyone know if there is a generic app that allows you to take your flights and pre load your calendar?
Thanks
Tim

Tripit a good little app, free and paid depending on what you want from it.

I've not seen as awful an airline app as VA's, no surprise of course when their website is in tatters! Really hope they sort it soon.

You nevr know the 25th June (when the seating plans are available to everyone) could be a good day to realise a new phone app, and even a new fully working website.

I wouldn't hold your breath. The main website is a disaster IMO so if they can't be bothered to get that in order I seriously doubt anyone will be concerned about updating the app!

The BA app is stunning. VS really have their work cut out to catch up. Or could DL do a 'white label' version of their own fairly decent app?

Tweeted Virgin back in March about the state of their latest version of the App.
Here's copy of my tweet and their reply:
@VirginAtlantic Whats up with new app? Keeps crashing, worse than last one. Competitors, Delta, EZ jet BA far better. New one asap please?
@VirginAtlantic: @martinswadley We are working on a new one Martin, so keep an eye out for it :-) ^H
Not sure if I'm hopeful but surely their IT across the board will get better with the Delta connection?

If I was in charge of IT at VS I'd ask to white label DL's entire IT infrastructure and get it re-branded in to VS colours.

What's "white label" ?
The only positive in VS IT lately is that the PassBook BPs seem to be working again for me.. so less wasted paper.

White Label is basically a website without branding where another company can overlay their details.
For example, some hotel websites are actually use booking.com or Superbreak software.

I agree with what Sealink said upthread -- the new BA app really sets the standard.

Certainly the BA app is miles better than their website. The UA app is not bad either. VS have really dropeed the ball on this one. How many years is it ?
