V-Flyer

Was wondering if anyone was travelling LGW-MCO-LGW in the next week or two and could do me a small favour. (nothing in the itinerary calendar till the towards the end of August)

I'd just like a couple of duty free prices checked at LGW and MCO to see which is cheapest before i travel to MCO, last time i bought something at LGW it was cheaper at MCO, and i'm not even sure if MCO sells the item

If anyone could help me out i'd be grateful, PM me and ill give you the item details (Mrs Chumbas birthday perfume! )

Thought you might, apparently it is grounds for divorce if the real parfum and eau de parfum get mixed up ( mrs Chumba tells me )

I can only really comment on one of the perfume duty free acquisitions we had (O/H had it really).

She was asked to get a certain kind of perfume at duty free. Checked the price, and went "Hmmn, that's too much". Got to NYC, looked at a perfume shop in the middle of town, it's a third of the price over LHR duty free. Within the range of buying so bought. Checked on JFK DF on way back, cheaper than uk, but not as cheap as high street.

Got back to UK. Found it cheaper in a shop in Wolverhampton, by a fiver.

Also saying that, onboard virgin DF is the best. When in Mexico, every tequilla was cheaper in Walmart than any of the DF's there. Except the most expensive. When virgin onboard sold the Patron silver tequila, it was actually cheaper than Walmart mexico.

Ok, so the ciggies in mexico probably couldn't be beaten, but we don't smoke them and nobody asked, so didn't compare...
