Hi

Came across this earlier tonight -

VS have intimated that they may be interested in an updated A330 - the A330 neo.

interesting read, but I personally am a Boeing person really dislike airbus although they are quieter but they just don't do it for me I always come off not enjoying the flight and have issues with the compression / depression in the cabin too.

VS, like other airlines, will always stay "interested" in relevant aircraft from both large manufacturers - they wouldn't be able to drive good deals otherwise.

Also, they will hedge until better performance figures can be provided from trials etc.

Really, this will all be about the bottom line.

Always been a Boeing fan, but having travelled recently on the 330's with Virgin, I have to say I have become a convert, absolutely lovely aircraft

I think the Airbus aircraft are great. It all depends on the airline's cabin preference of course, but I always feel Airbus are better quality. A bit like comparing a GM vehicle to a German counterpart, I guess....

Although I must admit, the B787 cockpit is very impressive! Shame those dimming cabin windows aren't though.

Seems Airbus is sticking with it's European partners on it's latest wide bodied aircraft too, with the A350 and most likely the A330neo being RR powered. All good for the UK :-).
