HKG Jet Lag Tips

Hey Guys

I am forever going to the west coast of the US so have a very good jet-lag system for London to LA, but I was wondering if anyone could offer up a good jet-lag system for London to Hong Kong?

I'm thinking sleep as late as possible on the morning of the flight, flight leaves LHR at 2230, so eat and a movie then get 5 hours sleep in UC, get up, stay up, land in HKG at 1750 local time, enjoy the evening and try sleep from 0000 to 0800 to get in the swing of things.

Thoughts?

I fly this route every couple of weeks (in fact 'flying tonight' as Kenny Williams used to say).
I have dinner on board and go to bed about 12-1am (uk time) and sleep like a baby until about 9am (uk time) 4pm (hk time) just in time for 'breakfast' before we land about 5:30pm.
Dinner about 9pm and bed about midnight and MOST of the time I sleep really well.
Going to the West coast I find a lot harder as the day just goes on and on !

On the odd occasions when I wake up very early - about 5am- I have an early breakfast and then manage to get back to sleep for a few hours.

If you get stuck try some sominex or other over the counter sleep aid. They are non addictive, don't knock you out the next day and just having them in your bag means you probably don't need them.

Thanks JC... very useful to know. Do you not find that you've had too much sleep on the plane, so that when it hits midnight in HKG you're not tired?
