Hi Everyone

We are booked on the Orlando flight 25th August from Manchester on Virgin 747-400 and I currently have aisle seats in the upper deck I just wondered if the seats in row 80 H,J,and K can fully recline? Also does anyone know if row 37 downstairs has a bulkhead or restriction behind it as I have read that there is not and these seats fully recline.

Thanks

Hi,
From what I've heard all seats upstairs in the LGW/MAN 747's fully recline so there shouldn't be any problems there. I'm currently down for 76J and K for my LGW - CUN flights on 13th Sept, providing I don't get moved by then... here's hoping!

All seats on all VS long haul aircraft fully recline, regardless of what Seatguru or other sites might say.

Be warned, though, that if a flight isn't particularly full VS will often opt not to use the economy section of the bubble and anyone who's requested seats there will be moves downstairs. Another V-Flyer found this out to his cost at the weekend.

Thanks has anyone ever booked the extra seat I have been reading about recently, I cant find the link just now but if a flight is not full Virgin will let you pay to use an empty seat. I am aware that this would be free if you got on and a flight was not full but paying maybe guarantees a bit of extra space.

That's the gamble you take! The other thing to note with Seat Plus is that you can't choose your seats in advance, they'll be allocated for you. For most people that's not a problem but is for some.

I've flown LHR - MIA on the 747-400 and had seats 79AB in the bubble. In our case, 79C was empty and we had a great flight, lots of room and yes, the seats fully reclined.

Row 37 has nothing behind it. It's just a gap for the exit. Personally I would stick with row 80 if you can. The seats fully recline (guilt free!) plus the bubble is a great place to be sat. You will also be one of the first off the plane which can be a bonus for immigration at MCO.
