End of holiday wave from the Big Banana Lounge Antigua

It's been two years since we were last in Antigua and I was dreading the airport but we checked in, breezed through security and upstairs with our UC passes to Big Banana in less than 30 minutes.

Airport is heaving - as is the lounge. It's still small and dark but is a welcome haven from the sardine situation I can see through the window in the departure lounge.

For those that haven't used it - it seats about 40 in a sofa / chair waiting room arrangement. It's on two levels, the upper level has a bar and small selection of buffet type food - mini pastries, melon, crisps and cheeses. The seating area is about 15m long 5m wide so you do need to huddle. But it's air conditioned, has good wifi and the most fantastic staff.

At boarding you are collected and form a human train as you're escorted in a 'parting of the [bodies] waves' from lounge to aircraft steps.

If you don't have access via your status or boarding card it is well worth paying.

Have a good flight! Last time I was in that lounge (about 3 months ago...), it was heaving but the rest of the airport was deserted. Too many BA status passengers probably...
