Which Lounge Manchester T2

I am flying from Manchester T2 on a Sunday at the end of August, and have Lounge Club access via my Amex card.

I have a choice of the Styal lounge and Escape lounge. So which would be best? We will be in the lounge very early (5am to about 6.30am) so only really need some peace and a good breakfast.

Never been in either I'm afraid but the Styal lounge is run by Servisair who are not particularly known for the luxuriousness of their lounges.

Having said that I believe it has decent airfield views and will probably be the quieter of the two as it's more of a business lounge than the Escape lounge which is more family friendly.

If the Escape lounge is anything like the one in T3 the food offering will be better, but if you're after a proper cooked breakfast you'll be disappointed because neither offers that. They're definitely not VS Clubhouses - expect bacon rolls, cereal, pastries, yoghurt, fruit etc. For anything more substantial you'll need to use a restaurant in the main terminal.

Personally I would choose the Escape lounge in T2. None of the lounges in T2 have airfield views sadly, unlike at T1 and T3.

At that time of the day, both will be very busy and offer a limited breakfast offer. I do like the sausage sandwiches in the escape lounge though the staff are always welcoming and friendly.

For me Escape wins hands-downs but don't expect CH standards but its perfectly fine for a couple of hours.

Don't go anywhere near the styal lounge. It's terrible. Would prefer to be outside to be honest.

I agree with the above, the Escape lounge is the better offering, although we now don't bother with the lounges and just eat in the main departure area as both lounges are not very good at all in our opinion.

Totally agree with Neil. We have used Escape lounge a couple of times but found them poor value for money and no views. We now spend our money in the coffee shopsand find seats in the quieter areas with a view of the apron.

Looks like escape is the best of the two. I wouldn't normally bother on a short European flight, but I have the access available to may as well try. May just grab a bacon butty and depart of not too inspiring.
