A330 - old and broken.

Considering how old the oldest lhr 747 fleet are, upper still feels fresh and upbeat. For that matter, so does pe aswell.

Vs401 today was not fresh or upbeat.
The bar was worn and scratched - beyond superficial cleaning. One of the stools had a tear on the side.
The champers metal holder thing (a feature if the bar) needed a serious clean and polish.

The carpet was also pretty badly stained

My bed was broken - and the flight crew were unaware...not an issue on a day flight, but I would have been most vexed had it been the evening.

Now, the flight was great and service superb as usual... But this metal felt old and very unloved!

Fully agree with you there Sam, the UC cabins on the A333s are not ageing well n(

The bar, the seats, the cabin.... everything just looks older than it actually is. I think VS dropped the ball on this one, sacrificing quality for something that looks flashy, but does't stand up to day to day use.

Fingers crossed the 787s hold up better.

Frankly it should be ripped out and an A340 style UC cabin installed. Unfortunately these planes will be around for another 7 / 8 years. Ugh. I so avoid them.

I do quite like the layout - think I'm a lone voice on this site perhaps. I would just have liked the cabin to age better than it currently is doing.

My seat was not just a little bit damaged - it was properly beaten and flimsy... Lord only knows who or what sat in 6a before me and I hope that G-VLUV which is currently flying as vs25 had an engineer to check it over. Thankfully (silver lining) the upright was not an issue.

Maybe the 787 will be THE cabin of all cabins!

I agree, the last few times I've travelled there have been numerous issues with the cabin. Twice my seat would not fix in upright position, it kept on collapsing. This means you can't sit in the seat for takeoff or landing.

I'm with you Sam ! Flown on both A346 and A333 and actually much preferred the A333 seat and bed.
