I know from time to time people ask about current menus. I just had a weekend trip to NYC in Y, so I thought I would post the menus. Hope they are of use/interest. I used an online OCR app to convert to text as I couldn't work out how to post a photo! Full menu text for LHR - JFK VS9:

Main meal
Beef chilli con carne
A mildly spiced dish, with rice and chilli strips.
Cheddar cheese and creme fraiche.

Grilled chicken breast
Tender chicken in a creamy mustard
Mashed potatoes, leeks and grilled vegetable.

Fusilli pasta (v)
Spiral shaped pasta in a tasty woodland
mushroom sauce. With Italian shaved cheese.
Served with fresh bread.

Afternoon tea
Enjoy a cheese and sun dried tomato

When you are typing you will see below an Options tab and an Upload Attachment tab. Click on the Upload Attachment tab. You will then see an option to choose file, so click on that and choose your photo. Then click Add the file.

When it is uploaded you will see an option to "Place inline". Move your cursor to the place you want to place the photo and click "Place inline". Bingo.

If your file is too big (you will get a "file is invalid" message) you can download a free image resizer. Use that to set the photo dimensions, I use 700 wide and 500 high. And then upload the resized image. Works fine.

And you can add photos after publishing such as this, just use the edit button and follow the above instructions.

It actually sounds pretty decent; I'd eat all of those dishes from the description. I am sure the plastic tub presented to me would be a different story though!

Yes, the food was pretty good - i had the chicken and it was tasty. Presentation is an issue, as you say the foil covered containers don't add to it's appeal! but i think in the context of the overall econ product, it's good; well thought out, decent quality. If i'd been given that meal in UC then maybe a different story, but i've had meals in J cabins whch have been little better except from being served on china, with metal cutlery and a token bit of greenery as a garnish.

Anyway, the whole VS experience this trip was very good - after questioning my loyalties recently, my overall experience reaffirmed my commitment to the brand! I might try to do a trip report.........

Now that I come to think of it, the chicken in mustard thing might have been what I had on my flight from LHR to JFK back in May! It took me a while to write the TR, by which time I had forgotten what I ate. I always think that it's not a bad thing to forget what you ate on a plane in Y, though. A blessing more than anything. It's those flight meals that you cannot wipe it out of your brain that are the problem.

And detailing the menu, helpful though it is, does not count as a TR. Come on Steve!

No complications at all, as long as the photos are on the iPad the procedure is exactly the same. And free image resizers are available on the App Store.
