Reward Availability Site Change

Looks like the reward availability page has been "improved" on Virgins website. Now shows availability across all classes, not just the one searched for. Not massively easy to read, but at least its a change to a more modern look and feel...

Looks exactly the same to me ?|

Also is it only me, but on several pages, "Flying Club" on the top menu, ends up on a second line?

I get the new site if actually trying to make a miles redemption/"spend my miles" booking.

Nice to get everything on one calender. It's not immediately clear, I suppose, but the colour-coding works!

Could one of you post an image, or exact ULR link --- I am finding the site all over the place at the moment, the upgrade link and the rewards flights links are identical [both same reward flights link], could be that they are testing ii)

Here's one-way award redemption availability for LON-NYC in August

Following the colour coding:

20 August only has UC availability
21-24 August has both PE and UC
25-31 August has all three classes

Hope this helps.

Now, when you select your destination and dates, the site loads a screen that looks like this:

A line under the date gives a visual indication of the cabins available, on the dates when rewards are available, you hover your mouse over the date and a pop-up shows the cabin availability:

Click on next and you get the details (miles, price):

A good improvement in my book. It would be better if it showed Delta availability too.

@slinky09, I think it shows the DL partner reward redemption availability absolutely perfectly just as is: nothing! ;)

No I am wrong its still up. You just don't see it that way consistently. Sometimes you see the old view, depends how you navigate there I believe.

I was looking earlier today for two different dates and got the new view for the first date and then back to the old view for the next date.

This looks great! I'm really quite impressed with it. It feels a lot more in line with VS's "hip" personality, and also the 21th century :o)

I haven't been able to see it at all, yet. Is it just when you're making a regular booking from the front page, or when you go to reward bookings? I tried both but no luck.

I just tried a dummy mileage booking on the home page, chose return trip, and clicked on spend my miles. Then the lovely new page came up :)

I always have time for a traffic lights system...

Works fine for me on an iPhone, both on the mobile and desktop versions of the site.

And wow. VS IT have actually scored! At a glance month by month availability for all three cabins. Result!

This is an excellent development but does appear to only be available from the home page and not from other links to search for reward seats. Well done VS IT, just don't go and cock it up!
