Havana Hotels

Hello everyone!
Like many others, I am a long-term browser of this site and have certainly picked up many tips. I haven't travelled VS for about 10 years, but was a 'Frequent Virgin' back in the 80s.

I am now looking to book a trip to Cuba and wondered if people could recommend a hotel in Havana. On this occasion I will be travelling by myself, so would like it to be fairly central and safe!

Any other tips gratefully received. Thank you!

Hi

I have stayed at the Palacio O'Farrill which I would recommend. It is fairly close to Calle Obispo. Every room in the hotel is different although some do not have a window.

I know of others who have stayed in Ambos Mundos and who would not recommend it.

Also have a look at Hotel Saratoga.

Where ever you do stay be prepared for some of the quirks that come with Cuba!

We stayed at the Hotel Nacional de Cuba, which was fine. It was a little way out, but during the day we walked and in the evening took taxis.
