Short but sweet non-story from the BBC.
By the way Tonty, it's good to see you back posting again.

Interesting isn't it:
Airline X has a pressure loss - tiny news nib, "aircraft returns to airport safely".
MH has a pressure loss - Daily Mail "TERROR IN THE SKIES ON MALAYSIAN AIRLINES ONCE AGAIN!".
Idiots, the press, idiots.

Pity they don't realise that it's that sort of skewed coverage that makes us all doubt other, perhaps realistic, news items.

I assume this couple were not on the flight, otherwise this would have been breaking news on Sky.

Oh puhleeeez! They should get a life and get over it. Next they'll be suing the airline / airport for psychological distress and how their honeymoon, which they were coming home from, was ruined. Bleedin' press again and bad reporting.
The comments from readers are fab!

They are the type of people I would not want to spend time with at the UC bar! Why are they showing their passports and luggage in the picture. Most people are aware you need a passport when flying abroad. A go around might actually be fun and something to remember. Now if an airline runs out of lime slices for my G and Ts that would be a problem.

I love the fact that they state they had "no information until we climbed out so we didn’t know what was going on". Generally at that point I'd rather having the flight crew concentrating on their jobs rather than giving a blow by blow account over the tannoy.

The one I had was, as the aircraft went up and round at an angle I hadn't experienced before and haven't since.

Oh, for heaven's sake!

I had a go-around at LHR last Saturday when we were a few feet off the ground. I'd say half the aircraft weren't even aware of it until the captain came on and announced it because of the weather conditions (There had been a sudden cloudburst which left a lot of surface water on the runway)

agree with bretty!
love how they insisted the airport give an explanation and recognise how scared they were.

Looking at the photo of them both, I'm reminded of a TV advert, strangely I can't remember what for, but it involved 2 moronic characters and the catchphrase "we want to be togevver". Just sayin...

On one of my TRs I mentioned we did a go around I didn't see my face splatter over the news . Don't people prefer the pilot to act safely anymore like others say some people should get a life.
I actually enjoyed the go around and I am sure the pilot has more things on his mind at that time flying the plane than explaining the reason although once we were clear the pilot did say something to us
