No idea Blacky but it has decent Tripadvisor feedback.
We are staying at the Commonwealth Hotel which is a tenner cheaper. I was hoping to catch a baseball game as it is at Fenway Park but then I discovered it is not baseball season in October- duh!
Never mind.
Always difficult to choose a hotel in a city I have never stayed in before so use Tripadvisor to gauge. I am sure any in the top 30 or so will be a good bet.

Maximum you could always just do a tour of the ground. I've done tours of 4 baseball grounds but never seen a game !
Last visit I stayed at The Lenox. Great hotel and was #1 on Trip Advisor. Got a good deal on the VS website for it too.
Next to the Public Library and close to the Copley subway station and v close to the prudential centre and (this matters to some v-flyers) the apple store.

The Colonnade is a very comfortable and nicely styled hotel. I would say it was the equivalent of the likes of Intercontinental or Sheraton. Most of the bathrooms are quite small, but the bedrooms are a good size. The hotel is well located across the road from Both the Prudential Center Mall and Copley Place mall, and a short distance to Boylston Street.

Hi Blacky,
The Colonnade was one hotel that came highly recommended to me but at the time I was booking it wasn't available, and has since become available but at a price above what I want to pay. But it looks good and a few members here endorsed it. I'm booked at The Loews and Park Plaza Towers, although will probably opt for The Loews.
Cheers,
John

It's strange how things change john ,the colonnade comes in £226 cheaper than the loews for my dates , I've booked the loews on a refundable pay later option earlier today ,the colonnade is also offered on a free cancellation deal so I might book that aswell but I do like the look of the loews more

There's about £16 between them currently on my dates, flexible rates, but the prices have increased since I booked and are currently about £400 higher for a week than my confirmed rate.

We like the Loews. Stayed their 3 times in past year (since it became Loews) and many times before.

Unfortunately mrs B has commitments at home DL so I'm going to have to slog this one out alone although I'm trying to persuade a couple of fellow V-Flyers that a trip away is just what they need !
