Seat selection help please VS15 MCO (I got 2 G's!!!)

Well I kept at it and I've bagged 2 G's!!! Thanks for all the advice before.

Now I would like some help with which seats are considered the best having never even seen upper class in real life.

It's the VS15 LGW to MCO and I'd like to be first off the plane really as I hate the queues at immigration!

Also how do I now change my itinerary? I need a dummies guide I think please. The seats I got are for the day before we were originally booked so just going to stay at MCO for one night.

Thanks everyone. V V excited! Happy to guest in anyone to the lounge on the 16th Nov if you tell me how!

Congrats on your perseverance and getting those G's. It can be done!
you're on a 747 so I would suggest 6A+K for a couple as they are close enough to chat and there's no need to join your partner for food at their ottoman. I'm not sure what door they use at mco if it's L1 you'll be off 1st with the 13 others in UC if it's L2 you'll be off after PE.
You're seat map will already be open so I would get on MMB straight away to see what's available.

Not an easy thing to get 2 G's on that route, so good result!

It's a small and intimate cabin and i'd suggest 6 A and K too.

You'll leave from L2 door (between PE and Economy) so you do have to wait for PE to disembark first, although it is fairly fast.

Well done! Yet again, proof that patience and persistence do pay off.

I suspect most of those who moan about G availability only look once or twice then give up. But as you and many other V-Flyers have proved, if you keep checking regularly there's every chance you'll strike lucky.

Another vote for 6A&K for a couple. Failing that 2 seats next to each other eg 7/8A, 8/9A, 7/8K or 8/9K.

Well done you!!!!!
I like 8 and 9 personally, good chance of bagging an overhead locker and I don't have to stare at my partner for 9 hours but I can sit with him if I want on his ottoman. Both far enough away from the bar if its busy but I don't feel left out ( I am a people watcher, not in a creepy way you understand ).
You should miss any massive queue being in UC unless of course a couple of other flight have landed before you.
Hope you enjoy

Plus one for that..

and that

but minus one for that. Dining should be a time of a deux social activity where you can gaze into each other's eyes over a table. That said, given your recent party bus experience it was probably the only time you had to yourself.....

Thanks everyone. I'm very excited.....I've been checking several times a week since July I think!

I think the Mr will be excited to sit at the nose of the plane (even though he's 40ish!) so that's sorted hopefully - seat selection should open tomorrow. Today is 61 days till we fly.

Please could someone tell me how to change my trip dates in the itinerary? Thanks again!

Bad luck, probably another V-Flyer as I don't think that many people know they open at 8am.

7K & 8K are absolutely fine though!

I added the wrong trip to the itinerary and just removed the post and re entered a new one if that helps. If you go into your profile you can see what you have posted.

Congrats on the Gs. We have been lucky with two Gs for the same flight in May. Happy holidays!

Thanks, I think I have the right details posted now. Hope I get to share lounge access with someone - I love to share the free stuff!!

My parents have got G's for our original date now too, after much pushing from me my Mum changed her fare to an M and upgraded! So thanks guys - wouldn't have a clue without this forum!

So they'll have LGW lounge passes to share on 16th Nov 2014 too, Can I add this to the itinerary or do they have to do it? Mum's a techphobe and Dad's too busy. (Hi Dad if you're reading!)

I am a also a fan of 6 A/K for a couple but you definitely wont be first off.
I wouldn't be put off by the lack of overhead lockers.
You can either try to be one of the first on and bag the nearest locker, or just give you bag to the cabin crew and they will sort it.
This year we flew PE and got row19 and were absolutely first off and very quickly through immigration etc.
Still more than 150 days before my next flight on VS15. Also have 2xGs and hoping for 6 A&K but to be honest any seats together will be fine.
