JFK-LHR Sleep Zone 747

Hi all

Could someone with experience explain to me the +/- of using the Sleep Zone on a 747 from JFK-LHR. Clearly I'm aware it's basically lights out and sleep for as long as possible, but I'm wondering about disembarking from the aircraft - do the Y upstairs leave the aircraft with J and before W and Y on the lower deck?

In theory yes. Obviously there's no way of letting the UC pax in the bubble off before the Ys but the PEs & Ys downstairs should be held back until the bubble and downstairs UC pax have disembarked.

Otherwise the snooze zone means lights out pretty much as soon as the seatbelt sign's off. If you want to eat you can do so downstairs at the bar.

In my experiences the Y passengers in the bubble disembark first, before UC in the bubble and before PE and Y downstairs. Snooze zone or not, this is how they seem to deplane the 744s, provided they have UC upstairs.

I've never used the snooze zone on purpose and also never had trouble sleeping. In fact, as long as you don't sit right by the bar, most people sleep anyway.

I would go with zone A downstairs rather than the upper deck. Risk of disturbance from all those economy seats is quite high as they will be getting full meal service even if you're not.
