What happened to the Upgradeable PE and E flights - none aro

Been trying to book an upgradeable PE flight (S) on simple NYC>LHR route, but nothing has been showing up for over a month now. Nada. Absolutely nothing in S class PE. 'Flexible' Economy (B) shows up, but at over $3500 in November, a ridiculous price.
You used to be able to find PE upgradeable fares online, but it seems VS have decided to clamp down on these, and make them more or less impossible to find.
Any ideas how/why this changed? Delta?

No the fares still exist, it's just a problem with the website that means it won't show them - even if you find the page where it gives you the option to ask for them. You would have to either ring up or use the ITA search tool to find the fare code you're after.

Oh good grief, why can't VS manage to keep a functioning website for PAX wishing to book a flight?
One might think that is a priority for an airline. Or maybe that's just me being old fashioned.

A common misconception. Loyalty schemes are not run for the benefit of frequent flyers. Like many things in the airline industry, it's a race to the bottom and VS seem to be in the lead at the moment.

But I wish to BUY a PE upgradeable ticket, which means I am prepared to pay substantially more (double!) than the cheaper PE fares, and take my chances on an UC seat being free to upgrade. So I'm in fact a full fare revenue pax, who might, if there is availability, sit in one of their empty UC seats at the last minute.
That hardly sounds like someone you'd want to make life difficult for.

Just call FC and they'll be more than happy to help. Ideally the website would work but as we all know VS IT is far from ideal.

narikin, I second the recommendation to call FC. I recently upgraded tickets and the people I spoke to on the phone couldn't have been more helpful. The website does need updating, that cannot be disputed! But in the meantime, calling them and booking is fairly easy and they should be able to sort you out with your upgradable tickets
