V-Flyer

First time traveling in UC next week and was wondering where you stow you street clothes when you change into your sleep suit. Thanks.

Cabin crew can hang them up in the main cabin locker or fold neatly and store in the overhead bins.

I just fold my clothes up and put them in the over head. Others just stuff them in there and look shocked when they take them out and they are all creased.

There is limited wardrobe space and they tend to use that for coats and jackets.

BTW personally I take my own (much admired he said modestly) sleep wear - as do many other V-flyers. Much nicer than the black, ill-fitting, polyester ninja suits - it says something then even my local charity shop throws them out rather than trying to flog them !

They're now all cotton ( so no more nasty blue sparks ). They are however still ill- fitting and the "previously enjoyed " possibility ( yeuk ) remains a moot point.
Yours are far more attractive ( no need to be modest) .

What ever happened to the UC onesie? So far I have not been offered one but not sure I would want one.

They were only on a limited edition. A couple have sold on EBay for around £500

Certainly one VFlyer has posed in his onesie on here.......I don't know that I would want to buy it from him though, he certainly isn't the kind of pax I imagine sleeping sweetly in it.....more like party like a bad boy!

I can't believe the onesies have gone on eBay for £500!

As for the ninja suits I agree with everyone, they're very ill fitting and not very comfortable.
I might take my onesie with me on my next overnight...or some decent pj's.

Tonty's PJs are the stuff of legend

Like many v-flyers I take my own as I definitely can't get into the sleep suits and look like a trussed up wotsit! Some nice bright blue Polo Ralph Lauren jobbies or some nice gingham check with my bazinga t-shirt. Very smart. Some go for comfy jogging bottoms and a t-shirt. And yes, stow your clobber in the overheads.

silly question but never been on uc and thinking about an upgrade from pe to uc if there is a good deal upon check in....so you reach your uc seat and are handed a nightsuit...where do you change, at your seat? in the tiny toilet??????

Also is the up seat flat and is it electric?

The toilet is the decent place to get changed , that said I recall a recent TR that had a passenger changing in aisle !!

As for the seats the old UC suite is motorised but the UCDS isn't and requires knee pads if doing it yourself

Shorts and a T Shirt for me. Nearly always find the plane gets really warm. Could do with better pillows, the sleep experience reminds of sleeping in a chain hotel where it just doesn't feel like home or a proper hotel! Incidentally my best ever sleep was my first time in Premium coming back from LA. We were op-upped and I was feeling very rough, few glasses of wine with the meal and it was off to the land of the nod to wake up somewhere over Ireland. Very nice!

Yes, I witnessed that. Whoever invented Y fronts should be put in the stocks.

If getting changed in the facilities, wear the UC socks just in case...

I had a Virgin Atlantic sleep suit reproduced, in black cotton, by Sam Junior, in Hong Kong.

The only difference is that my shirt has a button front.

Lauren wears a Moose onesie from the Estes Park, Colorado It has a wonderful flap, for ease of access.

Lol pjh , I remember it was you who witnessed it wasn't it ! , yes the the UCDS does req a firm hand / knee to lock it in to place ,it's what the cc hate about most I would think , I spoke with one crew member who's friend was off sick with a bad knee from having to do this all the time , well thought out eh !!

Indeed; so shame on the individual in the pointy bit of the UC cabin, on the lower deck, of VS046 on 23 September who decided to go sock-less.

I refuse to call him a 'gentleman' because, clearly, he isn't.

Discussion with the FSM and CC revealed that their pet hates include people who put their feet up on the bulkhead walls in PE and Y.

Yes I do this too, I have my laces loose (and tucked in). I never ever go bare foot (or socked) to the toilets. When changing in the toilet the foot comes out the shoe, goes in or out of whatever it needs to do and goes back into the shoe in one move. It never ever touches the floor.

I take crocs to wear for visiting the loos on aircraft. Even in business they seem to pee on the floor.
