Hi, from the No 1 lounge Gatwick --- looking out at an extremely foggy airfield, visibility down to less than 100 metres at present, flight delayed --- but all OK because sitting and relaxing at the bar at the bar, I'm now in danger of getting fog and mist!

"Fog and Mist" is that Gatwick rhyming slang for "p*s**d"?

Morning the RVR at Gatwick has been at ot around 350 metres now since 6:45 (which was the first time I checked at work) so a few delays but most aircraft can happily operate in those conditions. Shouldn't be too bad for you

Thanks Petmadness --- just a long weekend break [4 days] for my Birthday celebration -- flight is jumping from an hour delay to 10 minute delay, but still chilled, I'm in relaxed mode, so happy to lap it all up and take it on the chin

If you are off to BGI, looks like the delay is due to the late incoming aircraft, which is not due in until 11am....rather than the weather.
Plenty of time to get your money's worth in the lounge.
Have a great flight.

Your right -- gate just announced and my flight is only delayed by about 15 minutes -- thanks for all the kind comments, off to the gate now

Looks like the VS46 diverted to MAN.

And VS16 escaped the holding madness due to a medical emergency onboard!
