Hi. Have just booked to fly MCO-Gatwick next year and the flight number is VS50. Cancot find out what plane this is? Record on 'Toolbox' say sorry no flights in that flight number in the last 3 months? Does anybody have any idea??

I'm going to reply I don't know, but I'll show my working.
VS49/50 is the additional seasonal flight. The last time it operated was 30 August 2013 so not sure why the toolbox isn't showing anything. It was last operated with an A330-300.
Next year it will probably be operated with an A330 as that's it's usual. However it could be a LGW jumbo depending on sales and availability. And I'm hearing that some of the LHR config jumbos may be moved to LGW next year as the Dreamliners come on stream so it could be one of them. Hell, they could even put a A340 on it.
So in my opinion, probably an A330 but could be anything apart from a Dreamliner. I'm afraid we'll just need to wait and see.

If during the booking process on the VS website you click on 'flight info' in the list of flights it states the currently allocated plane type for that particular trip.
You can replicate that by just doing a dummy booking for your flight dates.
