I am looking for cheap flights to orlando next summer

found this possible beauty with good miles earning potential, unless the wrong tree is being barked up

please can anyone check this for me.

total miles 7000 ebookers + 24000 flight miles + 4668 spend miles = 35668 miles

If you're booking via ebookers coming from the shops away portal it's currently 1 mile per £ for flights not 3. I don't have a regular amex charge card so don't know about that but if it's 2 membership reward points per £ then yes if you then convert to FC miles it's 1:1 I believe.

If you use black amex it's 2 miles per £. If when you book with ebookers VS process the fee on your card and ebookers process a separate commission charge (this is what happens with expedia bookings) then you get 4 miles per pound on the black amex.

Your calculations above are accurate but may be wrong based on the current miles offering from ebookers via the portal. Unless there's another deal I don't know about.

Because that's the rules airlines follow. Adult = 12+

But as the 'child' is over 12 they will be able to have their own FC Account - never too early to start them 'saving'! You'll have to fill in a form though and fax it to FC. Not sure if you'd be able to collect the 'miles more friends' referral bonus though.

Although based on your figures you would get 32k miles in total (4x8k rather than your 3x8k) from flying you personally would only get 8k in your own account for your own individual flight.
