Transfer from LHR T5 to T3

Morning all,

In January I'm flying from DUB-LHR with BA then transferring to T3 for my flight to SFO with VS all on one PNR so my luggage will be checked through, I have a 2h5m layover.

In order to maximise my time in the CH am I better off following "flight connections" signs or heading straight out to the Taxi rank and Cab around to the Upper Class Wing for DTCI "a la JoeyC" ): and giving my drivers details en route?

Many thanks
Dominic

Hard to say which is quicker. Flight connections can take an age if you have to wait for a bus and queue for security. But if it's quiet it will probably be quicker. I've waited 20 mins to clear security in the VS private channel before now.

I recently did ex-EU from BRU>LHR and did flight connections to T3. I got the early flight from BRU that landed ~7am. Needless to say, we parked up almost on top of the connections pick up point, so it was a short walk down the escalator, on to a waiting bus and straight over to T3 re-security check point. It was pretty empty this early on and you can use the priority lane with your VS boarding pass :P

I found it simple and really easy - I think I would prefer this over going through the UK border and getting a cab back round especially at that time of the morning.

I'm doing it again on Tuesday so I will let you all know my updates throughout the journey!

Thanks Ryan y)
I land at 1015 so I guess it could go either way how busy flight connections will be, I could always book my slot for DTCI and play it by ear on the day.
