off to DXB for a few meetings and some sneaky sunbed time

company TA booked ticket, EC M fare, very clear, make sure i can use points, no restrictions ok? 'yes' they said, 'confirmed' they said

plenty of empty UC seats, still 4 showing now

well of course, you can guess, VS lady, she say 'no', TA has restricted it, so i forked out for a cash upgrade to PE, the price to go UC was twice the usual, so no go, especially as it seemed there were no A/K left, i'm tall and those missing inches matter

tbh i wasn't even surprised

oh well, all the VS staff were lovely and fast track was fast and cheery, into the CH, just had a shower in the spa

have just finished my deli starter course and bubbly

now my master plan is bubbly, bubbly, burger, bubbly, then maybe bubbly

hoping to phase it so that the first drink on board will take me into the land of nod

so hurrah, pip pip, and chin chin to other v-flyers on this night!

What a shame about the M and TA fares!

just realised i was in the bulkhead seat, eek, pet hate of mine, luckily one other free aisle seat available in the back row, so got it switched, now i can recline without guilt and get maximum leg room

i've lost count of the bubbly, but am feeling quite mellow, which seems a good sign
