Virgin America pricing

Have just managed to bag 4Gs to SFO for Easter next year and feeling pretty pleased! :)
Planning a weeks family ski trip in Utah and then 3 days each in SFO and SAN. Did the route to SAN with VX 3 years ago and was very impressed (same time of year as well)
Currently prices >$250pp (SFO-SAN rtn) for April 2015. This is nearly double what I paid 3 years ago. Are prices up or should I hang on for any VX sales that might happen between now and then?
Advice much appreciated

I have always found VX to higher than most to point I don't even look anymore.
Now, with the TP's I get from Delta its normally a no brainier.
Do you get a more "hip" experience from VX? Yes. Do you think you are sticking with Virgin brand? Yes. Are you paying more for this? Yes!!
Its not all bad tho, you can get some very good price upgrades :D
