The Heathrow Renaissance has a good deal including Purple Parking Meet and Greet which I am considering for our trip in May. Anyone used this hotel and if so, thoughts please. :)

I can't answer this as I've never stayed either but as I've passed it by now many dozens of times on the runway, I'd be interested in knowing too - it looks like a seriously depressing squat concrete block from the outside, but then the same can be said for most airport hotels the world over :-)

We used to stay here quite often, but not stayed for a few years - so it may have changed. Much prefer the Marriott across the road, Arora (also Bath Road) or Hilton at T4. Hotel was clean, comfortable and good value when booking a room & parking together. Never used hotel bar or restaurant, so can't comment.

Got a feeling the Renaissance has a great view of the runways :)

I stayed there once, probably about 10 years ago and remember paying £16 for a taxi to T3 which I thought was a rip off.
The hotel itself was fine and we did have a room with a view of the runway. Well insulated from the noise.

We're booked in for April - got a great deal as a "Secret Hotel" including on site parking then another 10% off courtesy of the bank account. (I'd worked out it was the Renaissance before I booked.) According to TA it's undergoing a partial refurbishment so it could be a bit hit & miss but it's for one night ....

we stayed there in September. Four nights parking at the hotel plus runway view room for £100 i think. You can book a taxi in to the airport from there which was £9 each way.
Had a runway room which was ace for plane spotting obviously.

The hotel is undergoing some renovation so there are some newly renovated rooms but not sure if these have runway views or not.

We walked across to the Radisson for a steak dinner though! oh and the starbucks at the renaissance closes at 20:30 so if you want to grab a hot chocolate then get before you head back up to room.

We stayed there about 5 years back. It was clean and comfortable, bar was expensive (usual for Heathrow and Gatwick Hotels) and food was average. Location as others have said is good, only 5-10 minutes to Terminal 3. For one night, its fine, but don't expect anything special.

Would be interested in your thoughts after your stay, scoobysu. Incidentally how did you work out that the Secret Hotel was this one?

I think I'd use that phrase for most of the hotels on Bath Road!

Hi Treelo

I searched using the tag line on the description, and also the Renaissance was the only one with a 5/10 minute transfer time and check in at 3.00 pm. Incidentally the Sheraton Skyline is "A Taste of the Tropics", which is where we stayed in July.
