A340-300 - Seat Selection

Hi,
So the seat reservation is now available for my flight to Boston August 2015, and its showing an A340-300, but surely these are leaving the fleet before August next year?

I'm travelling UC so doesn't really bother me, but can't imagine people paying for their preferred seating being happy that the type of plane must change before departure

Or am I missing something here?

thanks
:)

Hm good point.
But as its still quite a way ahead Im guessing that seat availability is still high so I would hold fire and see if the aircraft changes.
Otherwise would just select 4&5K and wait and see.
Presumably if the aircraft changes you would be able to re-request your seat at no additional charge?

Yeah you might as well select and then change it if the aircraft config changes. No charge for seat selection in UC anyway

The A343 seems to be the "default" seat map when VS doesn't yet know the aircraft type for that flight.

As above; just check your booking from time-to-time, and adjust accordingly.

Most seats appear to remain un-allocated, except for 1/2 and probable FFs, until very close to departure.
