Question please re car hire at MCO

Hi all,

I have booked car hire when I arrive at MCO and now feel much happier about driving over there thanks to all the advice I've received here. 8D

My next question is this; on the return leg I've opted for a car from the hotel to mco courtesy of my I class fare, the thinking being that I will drop our luggage off at disney check in that morning the over to car care and drop off the car leaving me with nothing more to worry about for the rest of the day.

As this is our first disney trip I'd love to hear what other, experienced disney travellers think. :P

It's very much personal choice but for me it would be to keep the car and use it to get to Downtown Check In. From there you will have freedom to do what you wish with your own transport. It is very easy to leave the car at the airport. You will be through in a couple of minutes and with no luggage can go straight to the Delta lounge to enjoy a drink or two.

Your plan seems fine.
I do agree with moodyblue, car return at MCO is simple.
I do airport drop off because I am driving down from South Carolina so have no choice.
It is well signed and when you come back, drop off is to the same place as you picked up. There are plenty of porters and it is a very short walk to the Virgin desk.
Have a great trip.

Are you only visiting Disney while in Orlando? If so, skip the car hire entirely as it is unlikely you will use it to travel to/from the parks. Although I am not a huge fan of the Disney Transportation System buses, I found taking the readily available and inexpensive taxis to be a great way to get around the Disney property.

If you want a car for several days to visit other things around Orlando I suggest hiring it on-site at Disney and returning it there.
