making a DL domestic connection. also AU bennies question

via the wonders of the company travel agent i'm booked LHR-ATL-MCO

VS103/104 for the LHR-MCO, VS codeshare DL ATL-MCO, and 'pure' DL MCO-ATL

VS lets me choose seats on the VS metal and links me to DL's site for theirs

i thought AU would let choose economy comfort or preferred seats, but although they're shown available it doesn't let me choose one, the DL page does show my FC AU details correctly

it's only a short flight so not too fussed, just wondering if i misinterpreted or is it something that only becomes available once OLCI opens?

also, it's 20+ years since i did a connection via ATL, assuming no delays outbound i've got 1:45 to get off, clear immigration, get bag, do customs, recheck bag, find the domestic flight

is it going to be 'easy', or should i plan on running?

this is on the 4th january, which seems to be a busy day to travel on VS there, i seem to have got the very last seat on the 103!

Have you actually received the e-ticket yet, or just the confirmation?

My experience with DL is that you need the e-ticket before you can pick Economy Comfort seats as VS Au.

Also are your VS Au details correct? Does it say Sky Priority when you access your booking on DL?

I booked to do the same next September. If you use DL's iPhone app it should let you select economy comfort for the DL legs for some reason the web pages don't.
Trying again after the VS FC number ha been logged in the booking may also help.

ah, I just tried again and it let me do it on one flight (no free seats on the other one)

yesterday it had the 'sky priority' tag and FC details, so sounds like it was the e-ticket timing that was behind it

thanks
